Davis Hits Double Digits

Despite missing most of his junior season, Knile Davis is rapidly becoming one of the southwest's hottest commodities.

At last report Davis had offers from Houston, Mississippi State, Missouri, Oklahoma, TCU and Texas A&M among others.

"I have about ten offers now," said Knile. "I just got my Missouri offer on paper and before that I got offers in writing from Northwestern and Baylor."

Davis has had the chance to tour some of the schools that are showing him interest, but a recent trip on the schedule was canceled.

"I have been to TCU, U of H (Houston) and Texas A&M," said Davis. "I was supposed to go to Mississippi State, but I couldn't make it. I am going to go there another time."

Knile currently plans to take in summer camps at Florida, LSU, Mississippi State and Oklahoma.

With several options to choose from both close to home as well as around the region, Knile reports he is no closer to a decision than when he began the process.

"I don't have any favorites right now," said the talented running back. "When I commit to a school, it's going to be final. Once you give your word you should stand by it. You can't play games with your word."

Davis has not set a time frame for a decision, but he does not rule out anything at this time.

"I just don't know when I will make a decision," said Knile. "Right now I plan on taking all of my visits. I am just going to take my time with all of it."
