Sophomore and junior highlights and recruiting update from Phoenix (Az.) Desert Vista S/QB Cole Pembroke

Scout.com broke the news today of Phoenix (Az.) Desert Vista HS having their third player get a division-one offer and the Thunder have several other players that could follow.

One of those players is S/QB Cole Pembroke.

Pembroke (6-0 200) has had success on both sides of the ball over the past two years.

As a sophomore, he was named honorable mention all region after recording and 3 interceptions from his safety spot.

Last year he was moved to quarterback and he was able to lead his team to the 5A1 state title game.

Pembroke passed for 1,239 yards and had a TD-INT ratio of 10-10. He also had 250 rushing yards and 3 more scores. For his efforts he tied for 1st team all region woth Northern Arizona signee Troy Graham from Chandler Basha.

Thus far, Pembroke has heard from Colorado, Colorado State, Harvard, Dartmouth, Yale, Princeton, Stanford and Northwestern but is awaiting his first offer.
