San Jose (Calif.) Bellarmine Prep athlete Usua Amanam, an all-state underclass pick in 2007, landed his second offer this week, and this one came from the Big Ten...

San Jose (Calif.) Bellarmine Prep athlete Usua Amanam, one of the most versatile players in California, picked up his second offer this week.

"I picked up an offer from Northwestern today," said Amanam.

The Wildcats join Stanford in offering the two-way threat.

Amanam starred at running back and safety as a junior in 2007. Coming out of the backfield on offense, he had 220 carries for 1,656 yards and 20 touchdowns while also hauling in 21 receptions for three more TD's.

Defensively, he had six interceptions on defense.

His 2007 post-season honors include San Francisco Chronicle 1st Team All-Metro, San Jose Mercury 1st Team All-County, and First Team all-state Underclas.
