“I went to Alabama Saturday,” Alshon Jeffrey said. “The visit was good. It was my first trip to Alabama. It was a great atmosphere. You could tell the fans care about the football team. There were over 78,000 fans there for just a spring game.” “I didn’t tour the whole campus, but I was able to see some of their facilities. I thought they have some really nice facilities.” “I thought the game was good. There was a lot of speed out there. I like their offense. They are going to have Julio [Jones] and Star Jackson coming in. I talked to Star while I was there. I think things are going to be great there in the future.” “I talked to coach [Nick] Saban and coach [Burton] Burns while I was there. They said they don’t have a lot of receivers. They said Julio and I could be out there on each side. They said I could help their team out a lot. The coaches are real nice and cool." Alabama was one of the first schools to offer the South Carolina product, but another school is at the top of the list. “It’s good down there at Alabama," Jeffrey said. "They have a great atmosphere. It’s different down there. They have a real nice crowd, people who care. It’s a fun thing. Right now Alabama is No. 2 on my list.” “My top school right now is the USC Trojans. They have offered me, and I am supposed to visit them in May. They are my dream school. I have liked them ever since I was little.” Jeffrey plans to wait a while before making a decision. He also plans to visit Kentucky and Florida. |
