Logan Massengale, 6-6, 270-pound offensive tackle from Brentwood-Ravenwood, (Tenn.), received his first offer today. Massengale, a former high school quarterback, has been receiving a lot of interest. With quick feet and a good frame look for this prospect to have a few more shots at offers in the future.

Logan Massengale reported, “I received an offer from Middle Tennessee State University. I went up there to watch a game. Bo Gilroy, a teammate of mine, sent a highlight tape. They caught a glimpse of me. They liked what they saw and called my coach and gave me an early offer.”

Massengale explains the upside of Middle Tennessee State University by saying, “I like how close it is. I think they are a program on the rise. Last year they had a really close game against Virginia.”

“I like how it had a close feel on campus. I like how it was in the middle of Murfreesboro. I like their take on the game of football. I like how aggressive they are. I like the direction they are going.”

In addition to Middle Tennessee State University Massengale is receiving a lot of interest from several schools.

He commented, “I think there are two showing new interest. Georgia with Mark Richt and his staff, and Coach Rich Rodriguez and the Michigan Wolverines have really come on strong.”

These two schools have been in contact the most recently, but Massengale also points out, “Vanderbilt has always been there with Coach Cain and the Vanderbilt staff. Tennessee has always been there, and they are a good school.”

He says of Georgia, “I met Mark Richt and spoke to him a little bit and got to watch how he conducted himself in a close game against Vanderbilt. I like that part of him. I like the things they have to offer.”

In a geographic rarity Massengale has found an interest in Michigan.

He commented on the Wolverines by saying, “My mom was born in Michigan. The last four years I have followed the offensive tackle Jake Long. For some reason people like to compare me to him. I’d really like to go up there and see what Michigan football is all about. I like the tradition, and The Big House.”
