Justin Bean profile
"I am going to be a bigger part of the offense this year," explained Bean. "I expect to get the ball a lot more this year. I am a lot healthier this year. I hurt my hamstring last year, but it's holding up pretty good so far this year. I am running track and everything."
Despite missing more snaps than he expected to in 2007, Justin has caught the eye of a few college recruiters.
"I am hearing from Mississippi State, LSU, Arkansas, Tennessee, Ole Miss, Tulane and a few more," said Bean. "UAB stopped by the school and asked about me."
The Tupelo native was one of the top performers at the Under Armour/Scout.com combine in Mobile, Alabama earlier this year. Justin has made a few other stops this spring in an effort to boost his stock with college coaches.
"I went to junior day at Mississippi State, Ole Miss and Alabama," said Bean. "I know this summer we are going to camp as a team at some 7-on-7 camps. I think we're going to Mississippi State and LSU and probably Alabama and Ole Miss."
Justin is waiting for his first offer, but he has an idea of what he is looking for in a college.
"I am looking for a nice environment, a good football program and some nice teammates," said Bean. "I want to go somewhere that my family would be proud to see me play."
