One of Mississippi's top prospects had been receiving a lot of recruiting attention from Coach Joseph at Memphis and it looks like that persistency paid off.

"I was suppose to commit to Memphis next Monday, but I decided to go ahead and do it," added Reuben Corley.

The 235 pound fullback took in an unofficial visit to Memphis this past Sunday, and the trip did nothing but solidify his decision.

"I went up there and took a visit and saw how well I fit in with their offense and academic program. I just want to focus on my academics and be one of the top fullbacks in the nation. I just want to work hard and be a beast in the weight room. I am a hard nosed guy, real physical guy. I could have gone to the SEC, but I decided to stay close to home and go to Memphis. I made my choice early. It has been stressing me out, but I made a good choice. I am not going back on my word."

How did the commitment go down?

"I called Coach Joseph today, and he told me that he would like to have me come play for him. He has NFL experience. He played RB for the Eagles, and he told me that he could take me to the next level and get me bigger and stronger."

Who else was under consideration?

"I was considering committing to Ole Miss. It is a real good school, but it is on and off with them. I did not get to talk to Coach Nutt at the Spring game. When I have been on my visits, they have not talked to me that much, so I kind of got the picture. But I have nothing bad to say about Ole Miss at all. It is a great school, and I think they are really about to do some big things. I just need to go where I am wanted the most, and Memphis has showed me that they need me the most."
