Jeremy Simmons Talks Recruiting
"I don't have any offers yet," said Jeremy Simmons. "I am receiving interest from 'Bama, Auburn, Virginia, Florida, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Kentucky, LSU, Tennessee and Duke. Basically all the SEC and East Coast schools are showing interest in me." "I went to Alabama and Auburn for their spring games. I probably won't take any other visits until the fall. Right now my top five are Alabama, Auburn, Mississippi State, Florida and LSU. That will probably change as time passes by." Simmons gave more insight of what has his attention at each of the favorites. Alabama: "I like the atmosphere down there. It is wonderful. I got invited to the A-Day game. I got to enjoy myself. There were a lot of things that I liked. I liked the fans, coaches and players. It was just great." Auburn: "Auburn is the same thing as Alabama. The only thing different is they are in construction. They are upgrading the facilities. The coaches have shown me a lot of hospitality. I really enjoyed their spring game." Mississippi State: "I like how coach [Sylvester] Croom has turned the program around. That is a pretty good college. Coach Croom came out of the NFL and doing what he has to do." Florida: "I like their head coach [Urban Meyer]. I like the style of game they have down there. It seems like a pretty good place to be." LSU: "I like their tradition. It's great. They are competitive each year for the SEC championship. They remind me a lot of the school I attend now." The now reporting 6-foot-5, 332-pound prospect has confidence in his abilities on both sides of the line. He explains his strengths and what he hopes to improve before the senior season. "I would say my size and strength are my biggest strengths," Simmons said. "I have quick feet. I am quick for an offensive lineman. I am trying to improve my quickness and speed. I am working on my agility and awareness on everything."
