the South's premier high school football program. Collected 91 tackles and 5 sacks

Why Top 40 - "Marvin has great strength and great instincts,"
added head coach Lance Pogue. "He is a true ILB and was an impact player
for us. Burdette is a run stopper and a great kid too. He runs a true 4.6 forty
and is one of the leaders on our defense. He is probably the most underrated player
off of our team. Without a doubt he is one of the best in our state."
"I
take on linemen like a defensive lineman can," added Marvin Burdette. "I
can get out of the box and take on the FB. I am a sure tackler. I am not worried
about making the big hit. I just get you on the ground. They also say I have great
sideline to sideline speed."

Marvin's
top school: Memphis leads Tennessee, Alabama, Oklahoma, LSU, Ole Miss, and
Auburn
Why Memphis: "I am just weighing my options right now.
I want to check out Tennessee, Alabama, Oklahoma, LSU, and Ole Miss, but Memphis
is in the lead right now. They are showing me the most love. I just got back from
seeing their campus on Sunday. They are just one of my options. I want to check
out Auburn a little better too."
Auburn: "They have a
nice style of play on defense. They like to stop the run, and that is what I do
best."
Tennessee: "My dad always talks about Tennessee.
I see them play on TV a lot. They look good. I look at how many players they send
to the pros. That always draws my attention."
Alabama:"I
watch them play defense, and I see a very physical defense. I like that a lot.
I have always wanted to go to Alabama since I was a little kid. I am just weighing
my options."
Ole Miss: "That's where all my folks (cousins)
go to school. Several of my kins play for Ole Miss right now. They love it over
there. It is kind of like the home town school."

to get that starting job. I never settle for second best."
