Hood Adds Another ACC Offer
Daniel Hood explained of his new offer, "The most recent is Florida State." He can add the Seminoles to the following list he gave, "Tennessee, Auburn, Georgia Tech, Louisville and Florida State." Hood reported he does not know much about Florida State yet, but plans to make that change. He said, "I know they had a great tradition in the 1990s. I think they went 13 years in the top five. That's pretty impressive." As far as traveling to Tallahassee he said, "I'm hoping so. That would be a good reason to convince my dad to go on a vacation." He explained the connection from Tallahassee to Knoxville by saying, "One of their coaches got a film our coach sent them." When asked about distance playing a factor he said, "I think it will be. Considering all of my schools distance is going to be something I consider." Another recent offer was from Louisville. Hood admits it is a school he does not know much about as of now, but hopes to learn more. He said, "I know that it is a really good academic school." As far as visits he said, "I'm hoping to be able to get to all of the colleges that have shown an interest in me." Holding five offers Hood is feeling pretty good, but with a good showing this spring he may be feeling great. He reported, "The Stanford coaches came to school and watched my film, and they liked it really well. I think Ole Miss is going to come to one of my spring practices and evaluate me, and I would say if I do well there they'll probably offer." Hood list two early favorites, "The two early round would be Tennessee and Auburn." As for his reason for choosing these two he said, "Really I've just grown up watching a lot of the SEC football. So I see the rivalries that exist between all of the SEC schools. I've seen Auburn and what they've be playing like on their defensive line. I've grown up around Tennessee my whole life."
