Muldoon Adds Three Big Offers
Pat Muldoon of Cincinnati (Ohio) St. Xavier has been having a fun time this spring picking up offers. The talented defensive has racked up 28 offers thus far, including three very impressive ones that he picked up last week. "I picked up offers from Penn State, Alabama and Virginia last week," Muldoon said. Muldoon broke down all three new offers for Scout.com Penn State: "They call my high school coach and said they were sending me an offer. Coach (Larry) Johnson is recruiting me. I'm probably going to take a visit out there and see them" Alabama: "My coach told me to call Coach Cignetti, so I did. He gave me Coach Saban's number and I tried him and didn't get him. He then called me back and he said they were offering me a scholarship. I am going down there to visit them." Virginia: "They offered me last Friday. I spoke to Coach (Al) Groh and he said they wanted to offer me." Muldoon and his family have been busy checking out as many schools as they can fit into their schedule including recent trips to Wisconsin, Iowa, Michigan State and Louisville. Muldoon broke the trips down for us. Wisconsin: "I went there to watch practice and I really liked it. It was the first time I have ever been there, but I really liked Madison. It is a really nice city. They have nice facilities as well. I really liked the coaching staff they all seemed like good guys. Their coaches were in the school this week. Iowa: "I went to a practice there. I liked everything. They had a late practice and it was only in shorts, but it was still intense and all out." Michigan State: "I went up there the day after I spoke to you about Ohio State. This was my first trip to the state of Michigan. I toured the campus and the facilities. They showed me the new football building. I had a chance to meet some of the players and Coach (Mark) Dantonio. Louisville: "I went to their spring game with three of my teammates that are going there Greg Scruggs, Darius Ashley and Stephon Ball. The fans were great. I really liked the atmosphere there. I spoke with the coaches afterwards. I met with the defensive line coach and he told me they need depth at defensive end and they felt I could play early there." Muldoon realizes that he needs to narrow his list down soon and he intends to. "I hope to narrow things down to tem team before summer."
