As most of us Draftniks sit around watching the NFL Draft we just want to see where all the talented players go. What we don’t often think about is the fact that high school prospects are watching to see which teams get players drafted. Some may even base their decision on that fact. | |||

Monroeville (Pa.) Gateway cornerback/wide receiver Corey Brown has been focusing on the same various schools for a while now Pittsburgh, West Virginia, North Carolina, Pittsburgh and Alabama. After this weekends NFL Draft things have changed. “I’m eliminating Penn State from my list,” Brown said. “I just don’t think they do a good job of getting corners into the league. I was watching the NFL Draft this weekend and researching all of that stuff. “If you look at Michigan they have Charles Woodson and guys like Ty Law,” Brown continued. “Pittsburgh had Darrelle Revis and Josh Lay who played some corner, but Penn State doesn’t really have any.” Penn State had former Gateway star Justin King who was drafted in this years draft in the fourth round by the St. Louis Rams. Brown eliminated Penn State, but that wasn’t the only change on his current list. “I like Michigan, Notre Dame, Florida, North Carolina, Pittsburgh and West Virginia right now,” Brown stated. “I’m going to visit Michigan on May 16 and I’m going to try and visit Notre Dame on the same day since it is not that far away.” |
