Florida safety adds big offer

Vlad Emilien is one of the top safety prospects in the state of Florida this year and the Plantation High standout has a very impressive list of offers. He spoke to Scout.com about all the latest.

"I got another big offer recently," Vlad Emilien said. "Michigan offered me last Friday. Coach McGee came by. He called me and told me about it and he left the offer in my coach's office. I was real excited about that."

The talented safety talked about what he thinks of the Michigan offer.

"They have great football tradition up there and they're competing for the championship just about every year. I like how they play -- balls to the wall. They're definitely one of my top schools now."

Emilien, 6-foot-1 and 190 pounds, said he's up around 15 total offers now.

"I don't really have a top five or anything like that," he said. "I'm just looking hard at a bunch of schools right now. Some of them are Ohio State, Tennessee, South Carolina, Michigan, Georgia, and Rutgers. There are just too many to name or to narrow down right now."

Of all the schools he mentioned, only one of them hasn't come through with an offer yet.

"Georgia's the only one I mentioned that hasn't offered yet," he said. "I'm not sure what's going on there."

Although he's not ready to name a top five yet, the talented safety prospect does have a favorite.

"My top choice is Ohio State," he said. "I took a visit up there for the spring game and loved it. I really like the family atmosphere they have there, the intensity, and I just loved everything about it. I could definitely see myself playing there."
