Focus '09: Kendall James

Kendall James attends Union County Vocational School, but plays for Roselle Park High School in the defensive secondary. Right now schools of every kind are contacting him, however he has only been able to get out and visit one school so far this spring.

Kendall James, a 6-foot, 195-pound cornerback from Roselle, N.J., allows his father to handle the majority of his recruiting, so he isn't to sure of the day-to-day activities, however when we talked to him recently he was able to provide us with some insight on his recruitment.

"I have been hearing a lot from the Ivy Leagues and get most of my FBS level interest from North Carolina State, Iowa, Duke and Syracuse," James said. "I plan on camping at Syracuse, Duke and Miami and am going to try to get to NC State and Hofstra too."

"I went to Syracuse in March and it was a nice visit," James added. "The facilities were really nice and I loved the environment up there because everyone associated with the program just seemed to have a great attitude. The coaching staff said they wanted to see me in person at camp this summer to get a better feel for me."

As a junior, James collected 50 tackles and five interceptions, two of which he returned for touchdowns. He also had a punt return touchdown. He was named first-team All-Conference and third-team All-County.

James reports a 3.46 core GPA.
