There are many cliches in the world of athletics and life in general. One of the more popular is that "hard work pays off". To many a trite expression such as this is often overused and may have diminished meaning. To Morgan Alexander, a very talented and hard-working DB from Cartersville High School (GA), it rings true now more than ever before.

"I have received an offer from Arkansas and I am very excited."

Alexander has been somewhat under the radar at Cartersville High and some of this can be attributed to the fact that he is a teammate of Donavan Tate.

It appears that schools are now taking more and more notice of the speedy two-way player, and he has actually been getting a good bit of attention from some quality schools.

"Tennessee has been recruiting me to play RB but they have not offered."

Perhaps now that Arkansas has stepped up and pulled the trigger, the other schools will step up as well. What is certain, though, is that Alexander will not let up on his end.

"I am excited but I know that this offer doesn't mean anything. I still have to keep working hard, stay in the books and graduate."

Alexander clearly possesses a level head and he is a high character kid. Whoever does win his services will be adding a valuable asset to their team. So just who is in the Morgan Alexander Sweepstakes?

"Arkansas, Clemson, Florida State, Michigan, Ohio State, Tennessee and Virginia Tech are my new top seven with nobody being on top."

Alexander projects to be a full qualifier and is a low-risk, high-reward student athlete who has a very bright future ahead of him.
