Penn State is already on their way to a loaded backfield in this recruiting class with Malcolm Willis and recently committed Darrell Givens and we at Scout.com are getting word that the Nittany Lions may be adding another outstanding player to their defensive secondary from the state of Maryland.

According to multiple sources, Eleanor Roosevelt High School cornerback Derrick Thomas has given his verbal commitment to Penn State. The 6-foot, 175-pound three-star athlete from Greenbelt, Md., continues the streak for the Nittany Lions who have been on a hot streak as of late.
