“I have not received any offers yet,” said Eric Cummings. “Right now I have been receiving interest from Nebraska, Kansas, Kansas State, Iowa and Iowa State. Basically all of the Big 12 schools are showing interest in me.”
“A couple coaches have come by the school. Nebraska and Iowa have both come by the school. I believe Iowa State has come by. I don’t know any other schools who are going to be coming by right now.”
“Right now my top two schools are Nebraska and Iowa. I love Nebraska’s defense. I love the coaching staff’s philosophy. I have talked to Carl and Bo Pelini. Hopefully I can help them out.”

“I really like the coaches at Iowa. I love the overall atmosphere, and I really like the state of Iowa as a whole.”
“I really like Kansas State as well. I grew up right outside of there. My dad [Will Cummings] played for Kansas State. He played in 77-78, but then he transferred to Ohio State. He played outside linebacker."
The 6-foot-2, 255-pound prospect has hit the field for spring training and hopes to improve a few key areas.
“We are in spring training," Cummings said. "We are running sprints. We are getting together a whole bunch of metro-area teams to play in a jamboree. The jamboree is from May 29-June 4.”
“I am mainly being recruited as a defensive tackle. What I am really trying to improve is my handwork. I am doing a lot of boxing to get my hand work in.”
