Bethlehem Catholic High School ran the option last year, so they had to incorporate two quarterbacks into their system for when they went to strict passing sets with one of those players being senior-to-be Bryan Morris. Morris also starred at wide receiver for them but will be taking over all of the play calling duties this season.
Bryan Morris
, a 6-foot-3, 180-pound quarterback from Bethlehem, Pa., is currently hearing from a number of schools including
Louisville
,
Temple
,
Duke
,
Boston College
and
Michigan State
and has taken some time out to visit two others that have been recruiting him hardest in
Pittsburgh
and
Connecticut
.
“My trip to Pitt went well,” Morris said. “Coach (Brian) Angelichio is recruiting me and he took me around the facilities which were all very nice. Everything looks brand new and they share them with the Steelers, so that’s pretty cool. They also had a really cool indoor field there. I got to meet with Head Coach Dave Wannstedt briefly while I was there as well. I like that Pitt is close to home, so my parents could come watch me and also thought the players and coaches were great. I am getting letters consistently from them and had the coaches by to visit recently.”
“I went to Connecticut a few weeks ago and got to sit in on a quarterbacks meeting with Coach Rob Ambrose,” Morris explained. “I met
Zach Frazer
,
Tyler Lorenzen
and
Cody Endres
who were all good guys and then went to watch a scrimmage. I understood the main parts of the offense, but would just have to get used to some of the different terminology. Their facilities are brand new and were really, really impressive.”
Morris completed 12 passes for 189 yards and three touchdowns as a junior and also caught 16 passes for 230 yards and four more scores.
