Erick McGriff Talks Five
"The spring went really good," said Erick McGriff. "It was really long. We did a lot of one-on-one drills and worked on playmaking type stuff. I worked on those a lot. I spent my time on that. This summer I am going to work on my speed and quickness." McGriff holds several scholarship offers and has a few summer trips scheduled. "Right now I have four total offers," he said. "I know I have offers from Troy, Arkansas and Auburn. I can't remember the other one. Florida State, Georgia and Alabama are the schools staying in most contact with me right now." "I am talking to a lot of coaches. We saw a lot of coaches come through during the spring like Wake Forest, Purdue and Vanderbilt. I am going to camps at Georgia, Florida, LSU and Boston College. I want to showcase my speed and show how good my hands are to college coaches." McGriff does not list an overall favorite, but he talked more of some schools who have his attention. Florida State: "I like their offense. They like to spread it out. They are real fast. They pass the ball a lot." Alabama: "They are definitely on the way up. They are really good. I think it would be a good fit." Georgia: "They are a good all-around team. They are looking to win the national championship." Auburn: "It's a great school. I visited earlier in the year. I like the campus and the atmosphere." Arkansas: "I haven't got to visit, but I have heard a lot about it. They were one of the first schools to offer me. I have kept my eye on them."
