One of the top cover corners in the Magnolia State talks recruiting and his camp plans…
Usher Takes in SEC Camp
Khairi Usher profile "I went to the camp and I think I made a good impression," said Usher. "Coach Croom said that he really liked me as a player. He told me that we're going to talk later. Coach (Melvin) Smith seemed to really like me. He showed me a lot of new techniques." Despite battling a bout of foot blisters, Usher went out and laid it on the line. He believes he put his best foot forward. "I feel really good about how I preformed," said Khairi. "I think I was the best corner there." Usher currently holds an offer from South Alabama and he is hopeful that at some point in the recruiting process that he picks up an offer from the home state Bulldogs. "Getting an offer from them would mean a lot," said Khairi. "They are one of the schools that's really up there with me. An offer from them might stop the recruiting process."
