"I got my first offer yesterday morning from Ohio," Rio Johnson said. "I went to their camp, and Coach Walker (Sandy Creek head coach) told me that they called me and had an offer for me."
"So far I've been to Middle Tennessee and Miami of Ohio for their camps. I go to East Carolina, and then Memphis on Saturday. I have a Duke camp coming up soon. I believe that I also have Purdue, Indiana and Western Michigan. All of those camps will all be in the next two weeks."
Two Conference USA schools have been keeping in close contact with Johnson.
"East Carolina and Memphis are the two schools that I've been talking with the most," he said. "They're really wanting me to get to their campus. Both of them said they wanted to watch me throw, and that they would probably offer after that."
Johnson was undecided when Scout.com first caught up with him, but he is now interested in six schools.
"My favorite schools are now Memphis, East Carolina, UAB, Ohio, Duke, and probably Middle Tennessee," he stated.
