Radcliff Ends Prep Career

Radcliff Ends Prep Career

It was almost one year ago that I wrote about quarterback Ryan Radcliff of Fairview High School in Sherwood, Ohio. What I saw then is what I saw today as Radcliff helped the North squad Ohio all-stars to a sound 31-9 victory over their South counterparts.

Not many people were talking about Ryan Radcliff when I saw him during the Ohio Coaches 7-on-7 event at Dublin Coffman High School.  With other better known signal callers like Zach Stoudt and Zac Dysert getting a lot of the recruiting attention, Radcliff was an after thought.

During my evaluation I saw a quarterback that could make all the throws with a tight spiral and move an offense in a timely fashion.  I told everyone I knew what I thought of the lesser known Radcliff and when he gave his verbal commitment to Central Michigan, I told our site publisher that CMU was getting a “Gem” of a quarterback.

On Saturday afternoon Ryan Radcliff made me look very good as the 6-foot-3, 205-pound quarterback passed for 267 yards and two touchdowns earning him the games Most Valuable Player honors.

After the game we spoke with Ryan and you can listen to Ryan talk about his performance, Major League Baseball and Central Michigan.

Ryan was also one of the North captains for the game and here are a couple of photos of him in action.
