Coming into the spring, Aaron McCord was considered one of the top linemen in Michigan. There was some displeasure on his part then that the offers weren't rolling in as expected.
That changed recently when Ball State put out the initial scholarship offer and just yesterday, McCord added a second MAC school to his list.
"Central Michigan offered me," he reported, "they called my coach and my coah told me and I called them."
The 6'4, 270-lb McCord has been a two way starter at Crockett for the past two seasons and will be again this year. He is being recruited mostly as a defensive tackle, but could project to guard as well.
While he did not come to camp in Mount Pleasant earlier this month, the Chippewa coaches saw everything they needed on tape and McCord will in turn see what he needs to see in the next couple weeks.
"Actually, I haven't gone there yet," he said, "I plan to go up there later this month."
McCord also is receiving interest from Toledo, Michigan State, Michigan, Alabama and others.
