Meador Picks Up BCS Offer

Whiteland (IN) defensive end Mitch Meador was excellent as a junior, picking up All-State honors, but even that wasn't quite enough for him to grab a bunch of early offers this year. However, his recruitment has picked up lately as schools have seen him at camp. Just this week, he did well enough at just such a camp to earn his first BCS conference offer.

After making 116 tackles and being named to the class 4A All-State team a year ago, it seemed inevitable that Mitch Meador would pick up some big time offers. However, there was some uncertainty about him because at 6'4, 235-lbs, he was considered too big to stay at his natural position of linebacker.
