The old adage is that the first offer is the hardest one to get.
When Layton (Utah) Northridge safety Chris Washington started last weekend, he was still waiting for the first offer.
A few days later, and he has two offers, both from in-state programs, under his belt.
BYU was the first school to offer Washington, doing so on Saturday and on Tuesday, their rivals joined the mix.
"Chris attended the Utah camp," said his father Tony. "He was offered a scholarship. They have shown interest already, but now it is official."
Washington is a three-star safety and one of the top players at his position out West.
