Henry County has emerged this spring and summer as one of the more athletic teams in the Metro-Atlanta area and they appear ready to make some serious noise. There are many headliners at the skill positions and there appear to be legitimate scoring threats all over the field. Scout was able to catch up with the one responsible for guiding the offense and was able to get a recruiting update on one of the top QBs in the state of GA, Drew Little.
“We’ve been very busy,” a noticeably tired Drew Little said. “We’ve been to six camps in two week so it’s been a little tough, but overall, it’s been fun. I’ve enjoyed meeting all of the coaches and the new guys.”
Any updates on offers?
“No Sir, the QB position has been pretty tough. There are a lot of guys who are holding a lot of offers but in the end, only one school will get them,” Little continued. “That should open some things up.”
Ever the team player, though, Little deflected any talk about himself and wanted to talk about his team.
“We also just finished competing in a team tournament and out of 16 teams, we went 12-3 and finished 3rd.”
Some lucky school will be getting a selfless leader next year, but what about Little? What is he looking for in a school?
“I mainly want to feel comfortable. I’m a student-athlete, too, so I want to go to a school with a solid academic record.”
I also want to make a connection with the players and coaches, too. I mean…that’s your family for the next 4-5 years.”
Does Little have any desire to commit early?
“I would like to commit early and become a leader for the class, but that depends on who offers and when.”
Solid words from a solid young man.
