Goodman feeling the love from two
Garrison Goodman (Scout.com)

Garrison Goodman is a 6-foot-1.5, 210-pound outside linebacker prospect from San Ramon Valley High School in Danville, Calif., and he was one of the outstanding 'backers at the recent Scout.com/Under Armour combine in Oakland. He has since been to a couple of camps, and updated Scout on how his recruitment is progressing.
"The camps went really well, especially the one at
Colorado
," Goodman said. "I talked with Coach (Brian) Cabral, the Defensive Coordinator, as well as Coach (Dan) Hawkins, and they said that they are looking for someone like me to play at their school, and they were wondering why I didn't have any offers yet. Coach Cabral said I was probably the best linebacker at the camp."
Goodman was hopeful an offer would be forthcoming, and it sounds like the Buffaloes could be close. "They told me to keep talking to them and that they'd love for me to play there," he said. "But they didn't mention anything about offering or anything like that." He added that Colorado has asked for early game film.
Garrison's next stop was Eugene, Ore. to check out camp at the University of
Oregon
. "It went really well the first day," Goodman said. "I talked to Coach (Nick) Aliotti a lot. My best friend (walk-on
Harmon Bruno
) is going to play for them next year. Everything was going well. He said he was really impressed with me, he thought I was probably the best linebacker at the camp.
"Unfortunately I dinged up my elbow the next day so I couldn't go the rest of the camp. But he said that it wouldn't interfere with anything. They like my style of play and it fits in with what they are doing at Oregon. He also said that I should get more game film to them."
Because of the elbow, Goodman missed the camp at Cal-Davis, the last camp he was going to attend. But the word is now out on Garrison and his talent, and a few more colleges are showing interest. "I'm getting letters from schools like UNLV,
Oregon State
and smaller schools," he said. "Today I'm sending out film to Washington State, Oregon State,
Boise State
and
Utah
because they asked for it, so hopefully something will come out of that."
Of the two top schools - Colorado and Oregon - is there one that Goodman prefers? "The Oregon coaches seemed to show more interest," he said. "At Colorado you really had to put yourself out there. At Oregon they would pull me out and have them go up against their top receivers, and all the coaches would come up and greet me."
