"Both staffs at both programs are expected to offer me verbally when they return from vacation," Colby Duranleau said. "If I get the verbal offers I should get written ones in the mail shortly thereafter." Duranleau credits his performances at both colleges' camps this summer as to why he's caught the attention of the schools. "I'm glad I went to the Kansas State camp," Duranleau said. "I was planning on just staying the one day there, but it turned out I ended up staying the full three days. A big thing was that I got to know the coaches while I attended the camp. I impressed both (Head) Coach Prince and (offensive line) Coach McCarty. "The Illinois camp was just a one-day camp, which lasted about a two-and-a-half hours long. I spoke to both (offensive line coach Eric Wolford) and an assistant offensive line coach. I proved to them I could probably go there and be able to play." In addition to these two schools, Duranleau lists Ole Miss, TCU, Rutgers, Kansas, SMU and Missouri State as schools he has strong interest. "I visited TCU while I was at the Nike Combine," Duranleau said. "The coaching staff wanted me to look at the campus and everything, and I got to go up to the offices there and meet the coaches." Duranleau would like to take at least one more visit before the fall. "I plan on visiting Missouri State sometime before the summer is over," he stated. ""With Ole Miss, the coaches may come up here and observe me personally to get a better idea about me. Other than that, I'm probably just going to focus on lifting weights and getting ready for my senior year."
