Marck Nearing Another Offer?
Steve Marck has been holding offers from Syracuse and Buffalo for a while and decided to hit the road recently, camping at Boston College, Connecticut, Pittsburgh and North Carolina. The 6-foot-3, 240-pound tight end had mixed results on the road and talked about them with Scout.com recently. "Pittsburgh camp went well and it was probably the best I did out of the four places I went to," Marck explained. "I ran really well there and thought I was one of the better tight end prospects on campus. The staff and I talked a week later and they told me they'd be signing two tight ends this year. They're about to start offering soon, so I'm cautiously optimistic I'll pick up an offer from them." "I love it out in Pittsburgh," Marck added. "It's a great city and coming from near Philadelphia you just notice the difference of how much cleaner it is there. I feel very comfortable there and love the coaching staff, especially Coach Brian Angelichio." "I thought Boston College was the other camp I performed well at," Marck stated. "They told me I'm definitely good enough for an offer, but they're waiting to see if they're going to take a tight end in this class." "I stopped by North Carolina out of the blue, so we'll see where that goes and also went up to Connecticut, but I was tired as heck, so I didn't do nearly as well as I wanted to there. They said they want to take a look at my first few games as a senior." Marck caught 17 passes for 256 yards and five touchdowns in an extremely run-heavy version of the Wing-T as a junior. He is the little brother of current Connecticut Husky C.J. Marck.
