Ankrah Has Extended Stay at PSU
Quince Orchard High School defensive end Jason Ankrah is still holding the same offers he was a month ago and at this point it's all about visiting the schools for the 6-foot-4, 250-pound athlete. This week he made the trip from Gaithersburg, Md., to Penn State to get in-depth with the Nittany Lions coaches and players. "I've been up here at Penn State since Wednesday," Ankrah said. "I wanted to be here and spend as much time as I could so I could learn about the school and be around everyone. I've just been chillin' with a lot of the players every night and going out around campus a lot." "I didn't get to make it to Lift for Life, but I have been having a lot of fun with these guys and unfortunately I'm going to have to go home tonight," Ankrah added. "I have always really liked PSU, but with all the time I've spent up here I guess you could say they're my leader at this point." With five days spent on the same campus we asked Ankrah if he could be announcing his intentions soon. "I'm going to go home tonight and talk to my father about it," Ankrah explained. "I could commit soon, but I would really like to see other schools as well. I guess I'll figure all that out talking to him. My top four schools right now are Penn State, Maryland, Michigan and West Virginia and I'd really like to get out to Ann Arbor and North Carolina State again if I can." Ankrah did state that he'd like to visit all schools, but the writing is somewhat on the wall with him spending five days at one school. It sounds like he could go home and the topic of discussion could be pulling the trigger and giving Penn State a very important defensive end commitment from a four-star prospect.
