"It's going good," Anthony Russell said. "We had a good spring. A lot of college coaches came through. We lost to Auburndale 6-0 in the spring game. I had scored a touchdown but it was called back. I also had a punt return for 35 yards." Russell, 5-foot-11 and 180 pounds, is a talented two-way player who is now enjoying his summer. "I went to USF's SuperBull camp," he said. "It was good but there wasn't any 40's or anything like that. We just did drills and I liked it. I'm also going to Friday Night Lights this week at Florida." The talented safety prospect said he's still waiting for his first scholarship offer but has some schools interested. "I don't have any offers yet but I got some phone calls during the spring," he said. "I talked to Nebraska, FAU, USF, Ohio State, Tennessee, and Auburn. The ones I like the most right now are Nebraska, FAU, USF, Tennessee, and Auburn. That would be my top five right there." While he has a top five in mind, Russell said one school sticks out above the others right now. "I like FAU the most because they seem very interested and they're close to home," he said. "They're about to offer one of my teammates (Tamorris Gray) too. He's my cousin and we'd like to play safety together somewhere." Inside the classroom, Russell claims a 3.7 GPA and recently scored a 17 on the ACT.
