Five-Star DT Narrows Schools
When you hold offers from the Who's Who of college football, picking a school is never easy but five-star defensive tackle Corey Adams from Scottsdale (Az.) Saguaro has come one step closer.Today he tells Scout.com that he has narrowed his list to three programs. In no particular order, Adams names Ohio State, USC and Arizona State as his finalists.Speaking on the three, Adams says.Ohio State: "Their reputation, along with USC's, as being a powerhouse is one of the reasons. I have also been a fan of them since I was younger."USC: "I actually always hated on them because they were so stacked but it is a whole different spectrum when you compare them as a recruit instead of as a fan. They would be a good team to play for."ASU: "I have been a fan of them and been going to their games with friends since middle school. Based off last season and what the coaches tell me, they are an up and coming team and that would be cool to be a part of that. But at the same time, USC and Ohio State have already been there."Adams (6-3 285) has only been to USC once and that was at a Nike camp as a sophomore. He has been on campus at ASU a few times unofficially but never been to Ohio State. He does not have any plans for unofficial visits thus far.So when does Adams plan on trimming that list again?"I want to take my trips so I am kind of in rush mode. Some scholarships are filling up with commitments so I am going to call some coaches and set up some official visits."A few factors that will be in Adams' mind when he is on campus, "Of course the football and academics. I also want to see how the coaches interact with the players. I am unsure of a major so I am very open minded in regards to that."Adams adds that these finalists are more then likely the three he will choose from and he does not see any other schools jumping in at the moment.
