Josh Ferguson, a 6-foot-2, 210-pound, linebacker from Altamonte Springs (Fla.) Lake Brantley has given Purdue University his verbal commitment.
We spoke with Lake Brantley head coach George Clayton and he had this to say about his top prospect.
"Josh started for three years for us as a linebacker and strong safety." Clayton said.
"He's the 2nd leading tackler on our team and I'd say he runs the 40-yard dash in about 4.6 seconds.
"Josh just turned 17 so I see him getting a lot bigger at Purdue. He has tremendous range and he attacks the football.
"He can drop and cover and physically he's as gifted an athlete that I've ever coached."
Ferguson was getting looks from a few SEC schools but chose Purdue because of academics and the Boilermakers have been recruiting him since the spring.
Michigan still has a lead on Ohio State but the Buckeyes could put a big dent in that lead this…
