Georgia RB Makes Decision

D.J. Adams, running back from Norcross, Ga., put Maryland at the top of his list over four months ago. At a press conference held at his school today, he chose Maryland over three other schools, and he explains why.

"I had hats on the table from Maryland, Clemson, FSU and Notre Dame," D.J. Adams said. "I chose Maryland over the other schools. It was just the best situation, and the best fit for me."

"They're the team that came after me the most. I like everything about their coaching staff. It's (coaching staff) the best that I've been around during the whole processs. Their journalism program is great, too. I can only say great things about their school."

"I like the ACC as well. That was also part of the decision. The conference that Maryland is in (ACC), is definitely a plus."

Does Adams still plan to take official visits?

"I'm not sure right now," he commented. "I still want to, but I'm not exactly sure. I can't name any schools as of now. I'm not sure how many that I'll take. I know for sure that I'll take one to Maryland."

D.J. Adams currently holds 33 offers, and Maryland is getting one of the most sought after running backs in the nation.
