Texas LB Chris Williams Likes Two
Abilene (TX) middle linebacker Chris William is not only one of the best linebacker is the state of Texas but in the entire country. He has used a combination of speed and physicality to bolster his stock to the 22nd ranked MLB prospect in the nation. Standing 6'1 225lbs, Williams has only attended one camp, with no plans of attending more, however this hasn't hindered the constant influx of offer letters. "I have offers from Oregon, Tennessee TCU, New Mexico, Baylor, Texas Tech, Arizona, OU, Texas A&M, Nebraska, OSU, Kansas, Kansas State," he said. "I went to the Texas Tech camp and that's it. I don't think I'm going to be going to any more camps because of financial reasons and gas is $4 a gallon. I was going to go to LSU. " He's has an idea of what schools are topping off his list, but would really like to take some visits before making his choice. "LSU and Oregon are the top two as far as the offers I have. I think they are really good teams and seem to draw my interest the most. I am hoping to take official visits. I would like to visit USC, Oregon, LSU, Ohio state and Notre Dame," Williams said. With a 3.3 GPA Williams is looking for a good overall college experience. "I want to go somewhere where it's more than just getting good players and winning, it has to be a team effort," he said. "I want to be somewhere I can leave the campus and be in a good environment. Somewhere I can get a good degree and not just play football for them. At the end of the day education is the most important." Edits and Contributing Information by Erica Hoff, Staff Writer.
