The Marrero (LA) product had a chance to take in the Ole Miss camp on Saturday. How did it go?

"Camp went really well," stated Lamin Barrow. " "Me and my mom rode up there together."

What was the day like for Scout.com's #22 SLB?

Lamin Barrow

"First we registered. My teammate (Deonte Triplett) went, and he did his thing, and then I had a one on one meeting with Coach Nutt. He told me how much he wanted me as part of the family. He already knew how he wanted to use me and what he wanted me to do if I were to come to Ole Miss. He doesn't want me to red-shirt. He wants me to play as a freshman. I really enjoyed my time with Coach Nutt."

What agilities did the Barrow participate in during camp?

"We worked on a lot of foot work. I also worked out with the TE group. I caught several balls and wanted to show the coaches that I can go both ways if they ever need me to. I felt good about my LB drills. I was ahead of the RB in most cases. I felt like my coverage skills stood out. I ran a 4.5 shuttle, a 4.6 forty, and I had a 33 inch vertical."

What did the talented Louisiana star think of Ole Miss?

"I really liked the facilities but the coaches stood out the most. I met Coach (Tyrone) Nix and Coach Nutt. Coach Nix told me he really like my game and wanted me to be part of the Ole Miss family. Coach Dameron told me he was excited I was here and he loved the intensity of my workouts and the way I play. I already knew Coach Dameron. He came down and watched me in the spring. Most coaches just give you the eyeball test in the spring but Coach Dameron really let me know how much he wanted me. It was good to see him again. The coaches really stood out at Ole Miss. I didn't get to see much of the campus. I was invited back to campus after camp but my mother and I had to leave because it was such a long drive. But I plan on coming back"

Does Barrow know when he will visit Ole Miss again?

"I really want my father to see the campus. My mother liked it a lot, and I did to, but I want my father to see it. I've told Coach Nutt I want to take an official visit real soon. I haven't set up a date yet, but I would love to come to the home opener against Memphis."

Who else is recruiting the talented linebacker?

"I have been offered by La Tech, SMU, South Alabama, La Monroe, and Ole Miss. I went to camp at LSU. They said they might offer me in the fall and they really picked up their interest in me. I talk to Kansas State all the time. I just sent them film and I'm pretty sure they're going to offer."

With all this attention does Barrow have a leader?

"Ole Miss is my leader right now, but I still like the other schools. I haven't given up on many of the smaller schools either."
