"I committed to Tulane," said Banks. "Tulane is a very prestigious University. Even if football doesn't work out, I can still go far in life. I can go down there and showcase my skills. I have the chance to go in there and play early."

After visiting the Tulane camps, the Banks family were in agreeement that the Green Wave wass the right program for him.

"My dad went down there with me and he was all for it," said D.J. "My mom was for it to. It feels great to know that I get to continue my playing career."

With the season approaching, Banks can now put thoughts of recruiting on the back burner.

"I am glad I have it done now," said Banks. "I can just focus on the season now and not worry about all of this."
