La Puente (Calif.) Bishop Amat linebacker/safety Brent Seals has to wait no longer for the first offer.
"I got my first offer," said Seals. "Dartmouth offered me today. I'm up here visiting (Dartmouth) and I will be up at Harvard tomorrow."
Seals said the Dartmouth coaches envision him somewhere in the back seven on defense.
"They said I could play either linebacker or safety, whatever I wanted," said Seals. "I'm relieved, I got that first one."
During his junior season, Seals had 108 tackles and two sacks and, on offense, ran the ball for 235 yards and four touchdowns.
He was an all-combine selection at the UnderArmour/Scout.com Combine in Los Angeles, having the best vertical (42.5) and third best broad jump (10-3).
Academically, Seals is one of the better student-athletes in this class, with a 4.5 GPA and a 1900 SAT score.
