Williams caught the attention of Ole Miss' eye when
Coach Ron Dickerson attended one of Blount's practices in the Spring. A scholarship
soon followed.
The 6' 1", 215 pound two way player followed that
up with a camp appearance at Ole Miss last Saturday.
How did the camp go?
"I
liked it a lot," said Enrique Williams when describing his camping experience
at Ole Miss. "We didn't really get to see much. I know that I will get to
see more during my official visit."
Does the Mobile prep star
know when he will officially visit Ole Miss?
"I'm not sure
yet but I can't wait to see more of the campus. I only got to see the indoor practice
facility and it was amazing. It was raining and we didn't even know. We were able
to do everything we needed despite the rain."
Who accompanied
Williams during his visit?
"I came up with my dad and five
of my teammates."
Who has offered the standout LB?
"I've
been offered by South Alabama and Ole Miss. I plan on taking my time and going
through the recruiting process."
What drills did Williams perform
at camp?
"We did the forty and vertical jump. I ran a 4.68
in the forty and I had a 31.5 inch vertical jump. I felt like I performed well
at camp. I needed to do my thing and I think I did."
Was Enrique
able to speak with any coaches?
"I spoke with Coach Nutt, Coach
Nix, and Coach Dickerson. They told me how it was going to be. They told me not
to make any quick decisions. Once you commit they want you to stop visiting schools
so they want you to make sure."
