"We expect to win the state championship," said Anthony Foster. Last year we lost in the state championship to a team we beat earlier
in the year. It was our only loss." There is no doubt that Union High
School in Tulsa Oklahoma has a handful of talented prospects. Coaches have taken
notice of this group and Foster is one of the standouts.
"I have nine
offers. My top seven are Ole Miss, Oregon State, Colorado, Kansas State, Vanderbilt,
Tulsa and New Mexico. Right now Tulsa is recruiting me the hardest. They have
also offered one of our OL Brian Deshane. He' s committed to them. I don't know
much about Ole Miss but they were recruiting Terrell Williams and told him to
get in touch with me. I called them and they offered. I haven't talked much more
to their coaches, but I look forward to learning more about them. Kansas State
has offered 4 of my teammates. They are the only school to do that. They want
us all to come and play for them. Oregon State has backed off because I think
they got another commit who is my exact size."
What kind of summer
has the Union High product had?
"I went to camp at Kansas State, Oklahoma State and the Florida Football Showcase. I saw a lot of talent at those camps."
Has
the speedy WR set up any visits?
"No, I haven't set up any visits yet.
I want to visit Colorado, Oregon State and Ole Miss for sure. Terrell Williams
and I plan on visiting Ole Miss together. I've been to Kansas State's campus a
lot so I doubt I'll visit there.
What is the Oklahoma athlete being recruited
to play?
"Most schools are recruiting me at WR but Tulsa and Oregon
State want me to play WR and CB. This year will be my first year to play CB."
What
player does the 5' 8", 175 pounder model himself after in the NFL?
"I
think I play like Wes Welker. He is not afraid to catch a pass up the middle or
stretch the field. He can do it all."
When will Foster decide?
"I
wanted to decide before I started school but that does not look like it's going
to happen. I will have to wait."
