Will Enid (OK) High School's Trent Dupy choose one of his two favorites before his season begins…
DT Trent Dupy Stays Close to Home
An impromptu visit to Tulsa University, prompted defensive tackle Trent Dupy to pull the trigger on a commitment. Dupy, the 64th ranked prospect in the region, choose the Golden Hurricanes over the Iowa State Cyclones. "I committed to Tulsa today," said Dupy. "I just woke up and went to their practice and committed. I felt it was the right time. The coaching staff is great. They have the team going in the right direction. And the biggest factor for me was the fact that I can go in and play early." Also recruiting Dupy was Iowa State, Oklahoma State, and Kansas but only ISU extended an offer. "I liked all the schools but Iowa State was the only school to offer me and they are just too far away. I wanted to stay close to home because I feel more comfortable closer to home." Dupy also said, "I am solid with Tulsa. It doesn't matter who else offers me. I'm happy with my decision. Now I can worry about helping my team win the state championship. Dupy is now in the process of calling the other schools to inform them of his decison.
