Hymes May Have a Favorite
Justin Hymes, a 6-foot-5, 270-pound offensive tackle from Allegany High School has offers from Towson, Harvard and Akron and while he is still looking for additional offers it sounds like he may have his school of choice sitting on the board already. "Navy and Delaware have sent me tickets to come to games this year," Hymes explained. "I still talk to West Virginia and Maryland has been emailing me a lot too. I got an offer from Towson and other than that every school has pretty much just been asking for my first two game films." "Boston College camp was good because we run a Wing-T at Allegany, so learning technique in pass protection and some zone blocking was a great experience." "West Virginia was definitely the camp that I did the best at," Hymes said. "I ran the fastest I ever have, had a great shuttle and my vertical was six inches higher than anyone else there. I also did 27 reps on the bench. My worry with them is that they already have four linemen committed." "At Maryland we got to go out there and hit with uppers which is definitely my style of camp," Hymes offered. "The offensive line coach is a great guy and I'm still hoping that they come through with an offer." The school of choice for Hymes could be in the Ivy League however. "I camped at Harvard for four days and absolutely loved it there. If I were to go there on scholarship you're essentially getting $200,000 worth of education for free and set up for the rest of your life. They also really bring it up there. When I went to camp I expected the competition to be lesser than others, but that was far from the case. Right now Harvard is an option I'm really looking hard at." Hymes carries a 4.2 GPA while taking AP courses and scored a 1950 on his SAT.
