"I'm up to seven offers,"
stated Eric Williams. "Recruiting is going good. I have offers from South Carolina, Ole Miss, South Florida, Middle Tennessee State, Marshall, UAB, and
Purdue."Who is recruiting the Florida WR the hardest?
"I would
say South Carolina, Ole Miss, Purdue and Marshall are recruiting me the hardest
right now. Everyone is recruiting me to play WR."
What NFL player does
the talented Florida athlete compare himself to?
"I would say Steve Smith for the Carolina Panthers. When I brake down his film, he's fast and sure
handed. He can play outside or in the slot. He's physical for his size and he
plays special teams. I feel I can do all of those things as well."
Which
coaches stand out for the Florida prep star?
"I talk to all the coaches
at Ole Miss. They tell me I'm the number one WR on their board. I have spoken
with Coach Austin, Coach Dickerson, Coach Nutt and Coach Vaughn. They want me
to play WR, RB, and return kicks on special teams. I know that I will visit Ole
Miss after my season for sure. The Ole Miss Coaches treat me like Ole Miss is
my home already. I also talk to the coaches at South Carolina a lot. Coach Spurrier
likes to throw the ball around so that caught my attention. I went to their spring
game and really enjoyed myself. I'm very interested in South Carolina."
Does
Williams have a timetable on his decision?
"I think I'll make a decision
towards the end of the season. If the time is right and I find the place that
fits me perfectly then I'll commit. But I'm planning on waiting until the end
of the season. Right now I don't have a leader. All of the schools who have offered
have an equal chance."
What will Williams look for when choosing a
school?
"I will look for a place that I feel comfortable at. I want
to be close to the coaches. I want a chance to compete. I'm looking for a place
that feels like home to me."
