Craig McMillan profile
The 6-4, 190 pounder took to the road this summer and attended several college camps in an effort to boost his stock in the eyes of recruiters.
"I went to camps at Southern Miss, Ole Miss, Auburn, Rice and I went to the Mid-South passing camp. I was the MVP there," said McMillan. "I gave the coach at Auburn some tape and he e-mailed after camp to let me know he liked what he saw and that he was looking forward to seeing me play this season."
McMillan played musical quarterbacks last season with a sophomore and a senior. Craig reports that each quarterback brought something a little different to the table, so the Greyhounds were a little harder to prepare for.
"We ran the option a lot, but I think we're going to throw it a lot more this year," said Craig. "We don't have DeAndre this year, so we'll have to spread the ball around more."
Craig pulled in his first college offer several weeks back. The talented quarterback was relieved to get his first tender under his belt.
"West Alabama offered me at the beginning of July or the end of June," said "It felt real good. I have something to build on. My parents are real happy, but they really want me to get a division one offer."
An offer that Craig would be delighted to receive would be from the Jags of South Alabama.
"I would love to go to South (Alabama)," said McMillan. "They said they are really considering offering me. They want to come to see me play in a game this year. I have had three family members go there and I would love to go there too. They've only offered two quarterbacks so far, so I am hoping to get an offer from them."
