Moreno Valley (Calif.) Rancho Verde safety Richard Spencer will spearhead the secondary this fall for RV, which makes the jump to the Big VIII.

Spencer was an all-league selection as a 2007 junior, and he's poised for a big senior season.

Three schools have offered Spencer: Syracuse, UTEP and Nevada.
