The second game of the day features Canton (Ohio) McKinley against Indianapolis (Ind.) Cathedral. McKinley will try to avenge a thumping they took at last years Herbstreit event by getting the ball in their playmakers hands like running back Monterae Williams. The McKinley defense is led by class of 2010 phenom Jewone Snow. Snow was injured and missed last years event. Big things were expected of Snow last year and he is on track to become a national recruit next season.
The Bulldogs are coached by Ron Johnson, a former assistant at Miami of Ohio. Johnson, in his first year as the Bulldog boss, has a very young team that lost its opener last week to Solon 24-10.
Snow will lead a McKinley defense that will have to carry this team as the offense adapts to Johnson's run and shoot scheme. Sophomore Steve Miller is garnering a lot of attention for his play at defensive end and could be a future Division-I recruit.
Cathedral is led by big offensive tackle Kyle Koehne who is a three-star prospect that is looking at Boston College, Indiana, Iowa and Louisville. He will take an official visit to Boston College next weekend. We will also get our second look at Kakpindu Jamiru a talented linebacker/defensive end and junior quarterback Kofi Hughes. Cathedral suffered an opening weekend loss to Carmel during a nationally televised game.
