4-star has some nice options
"I had seven catches for 94 yards and three touchdowns," Jamal Reid said. "It was a good way to get going and hopefully we can get a win in our first game this week." Reid, 6-feet and 175 pounds, is one of the top wide receiver/cornerback prospects in the state of Florida and he has the offers to prove it. With Monday being the first day college coaches could contact recruits again, Reid spoke to a few coaches. "Coaches from Clemson and Ole Miss called," he said. "That's been it so far. I'm sure a lot of others will be calling. I'm trying to stay open to everyone right now." What schools sit atop Reid's list of favorites at this point? "I really couldn't even say," he said. "My focus is totally on school and my team right now." Reid was in Gainesville this past Saturday to check out the season opener for the Gators. "I went to the Hawaii game," he said. "It was pretty fun. They did good, had a lot of big plays." Reid said he's not sure of his plans for this Saturday, as he has two options. "I'm either gonna go to the Florida/Miami game or the USF/UCF game," he said. "I haven't decided yet but they should both be good." Reid spoke about the teams involved in those two games. "USF and UCF should be good," he said. "That's two up and coming programs. I can't wait to see what Miami does on Saturday. I didn't get a chance to watch their first game but I saw some highlights. They're real young this year but I think they got a good shot. Florida's looking pretty strong though so it'll be good to watch."
