Florida RB names favorite
Trabis Ward and his Dillard team had a tough task in their season opener last week when they played Cypress Bay, home of what many believe is the best linebacker trio in the state (Shane Gordon, Austin Gamble, and Phil Walker are all Division 1 prospects). "We lost by a touchdown but I put a little something on display," Ward said. "I showed those guys a little something. They're supposed to be the best group in the whole state and I ran for a buck 160 and two touchdowns on them." Ward, 5-foot-9 and 185 pounds, said he's on the verge of setting up a couple official visits. "I'm trying to focus on my season but I wanna get a couple set up," he said. "South Carolina called me the other day and they're my favorite right now. They're giving me a chance to play and I think they have a lot going for them." According to Ward, the Gamecocks weren't the only school to call so far this month. "Florida State also called me," he said. "I'm hoping to hear from people like Ohio State and LSU." So with Ward favoring South Carolina, when will we know of his decision? "I'm not committed yet but I really like them," he said. "It's looking real good for them right now."
