After three games, Cole Tischer has 30 tackles and a 75 yard fumble
return for a touchdown.
"I feel like I am hitting a little harder
than last year," added the 6' 5", 235 pound defensive end. "I have
a nose for the ball and I have good instincts."
Last year Tischer
made a name for himself when he collected 118 tackles and 2 sacks. He was named
3rd Team All-State and All-Brentwood County for his accomplishments.
"I
am a lot stronger and faster now. I worked hard this summer. I think I have improved
in all aspects."
Cole took his talents to three camps this summer
to get further evaluated.
"I went to the Louisville, Vandy, and Ole Miss camps."
What stood out about Louisville's camp?
"It
was a good camp. I liked it. They invited me so I showed up. They are a good school
with a good football tradition."
What were Vandy's positives?
"Vandy
was great because it is real close to home and they have a good academic program.
The camp was real fun though. We had a good time and got to know the coaches a
lot better."
And Ole Miss?
"I really like their location.
They started showing me some interest in some letters, and I decided to go take
a look. I do not know how to explain it about Ole Miss, I just like them for some
reason."
Who are the main colleges that are interested in Cole?
"Mostly
Vandy, Louisville, Navy, Auburn, and MTSU."
Who has caught Fischer's
eye?
"Mostly Vandy, Navy, Louisville, and Ole Miss."
