Coach Mario Lane has Forest Hill on the rise. The Rebels, winners of just two games last year, head into district play this weekend undefeated at 3-0. The impressive start has FHS alumni, family and friends excited about the direction of the program.

Godfrey Thompson
Forest Hill HS (MS)
S / #4
C/O 2009

Scout's Take:
Thompson might have been the best college prospect on the field for either team this past Friday night. Godfrey is a very big hitter. He dissects the plays and works hard to get to the spot before the ball carrier does. He is very good in coverage and excellent in run support. He has the prototypical size to play safety in college. He is a very impressive player.
Emmanuel McCray

OT / #77

Scout's Take:
Emmanuel really wears his 300 pounds well. He is very athletic for a bigger guy. He moves well and he has a good base when he drops back into his stance. He is more skilled as a pass blocker at this point his his development. McCray needs to develop a mean streak. Once he does, he could be dominant.

Emmanuel Jefferies
Forest Hill HS (MS)
TE / #18
C/O 2009
Scout's Take:
The first thing I noticed about Jefferies was his size. His frame will easily allow him to pack on 20 pounds of muscle if not more. He is an unforgiving blocker and a skilled route runner. He is not just an extra tackle in the Forest Hill offensive set. He is an offensive weapon.
Dylan Davis
Forest Hill HS (MS)
WR / #8
C/O 2009
Scout's Take:
When watching Forest Hill warm up the first player to catch your eye is probably going to be Dylan. He is very gifted physically and it is easy to see he spends plenty of time in the weight room. He runs good routes and he is pretty tall order for a corner looking for a jam at the line.
Patrick Black
Forest Hill HS(MS)
LB / #90
C/O 2010
Scout's Take:
Patrick is a very sure handed tackler. He runs to the ball well and when he gets there he brings a load with him. He will probably play outside at the next level and he will play at the next level.
Amos Tatum
Forest Hill HS(MS)
S / #24
C/O 2010
Scout's Take:
Amos was a prospect I was not real familiar with before Friday night, but he really stood out as a player with some potential. Tatum has very long arms and has excellent range in pass coverage. He attacks the ball at it's highest point and more times than not he is the one who makes his play.
